Glossary:
Camp Sierra
Vista-The
place you are going for 5 days of your life.
Levels- All Young Women
are separated into groups according to the age they are or will be by September
1st. There are 4 levels. 1st
year (12 year olds), 2nd year (13 year olds), 3rd year (14
year olds) and 4th year (15 year olds). Each girl sleeps with their
level, rotates through camp activities in their level, and learns to love their
level!
YCL- Youth Camp Leader. All young women 16-17 years of age by
September 1st. YCL’s are given
responsibilities over assigned areas at camp…they basically run the show. They will have to be to camp on Monday, August
5 by 11am.
YCL Camp
Director
– The main YCL that will help with camp planning, organizing and leading camp!
Level Leader- An adult
leader assigned to a level to lead, guide, and walk beside.
Head YCL- The
Fearless Youth leader in charge of a specified level. They will work with the Level Leader while bringing
their level-ees to a new level of awesomeness.
Ward
Overnighter- Each ward is responsible for their own ward campout/overnighter
etc in order to have the girls pass off camp requirements that we won’t be able
to do at camp. You have been given a list of these requirements on a separate
paper. Please let stake YW leaders know when you are having your camp
overnighter as we would love to come and share in that event with you. We might
even bring treats.
Warm
Fuzzies-
A way to share your love at camp in ways other than pranks.
Activity
Plan- The
church wide form (in all camp and youth manuals) for any adult driver to fill
out if they are taking any youth on a church sanctioned activity. Details
include drivers name, License #, and insurance info. Must be turned into the
stake with your Bishop’s signature long BEFORE leaving for camp.
Fans/Extension
Cords-
A “must have” device if you plan on getting any sleep at night in the Texas
heat. That’s right, the cabins have outlets, so use them to avoid the sleep
sweats.
