Young Women Camp Contract

The purpose of the camp experience is to help the young women learn basic survival skills in the outdoors & in emergency situations, but more importantly, it is our desire to give young women an opportunity to grow closer to God & their Savior. A camping experience can help young women become more aware of God’s creations & the blessings the gospel brings into their lives. They can find joy in an outdoor setting that will strengthen their friendships & love for each other and build their testimonies in the gospel. In order to make this camping experience enjoyable for all who attend, there are certain rules and guidelines that must be followed. Here are our camp policies:

  • ALL girls must participate in certification.
  • EVERYONE will attend devotionals, flag ceremonies and meals.
  • DRESS STANDARDS: Shoes must be worn at all times. No tank tops, appropriate shorts, only modest swim suits (no bare midriffs). Swimsuits are worn in the river area only. Please see For The Strength of Youth if you have questions.
  • NO VISITORS: If a parent needs to come to camp for any reason except for an emergency, it needs to be pre-approved by the Stake Camp Director. If a parent or guardian needs to pick up a girl from camp, she must be checked out with her Ward Camp Director & a Stake Leader.
  • NO PRANKS
  • NO CELL PHONES, or other electronics: If there needs to be communication between parents and girls it can be done through your Ward Camp Director.
  • OTHER RULES: Items not addressed in this contract, but of concern will be resolved at the discretion of the Stake Young Women’s Camp Leaders.

These policies are not difficult to follow and when one girl breaks the rules others may suffer and the spirit of camp is not what it could be. If each young woman abides by these policies, their week at camp will be the beautiful, spiritual, fun week that it is intended to be and we want each girl there to enjoy it!

Please read these policies through carefully so that parents and young women understand the importance of this contract, which you both will be signing.

We understand and agree that the highest standards of conduct will be expected of our daughter as a Young Women’s Camp participant. We further agree that should our daughter for any reason violate or otherwise fail to maintain these standards, we will upon being notified, immediately make arrangements to have her picked up from camp.
